ARTIST STATMENT

My Statement has not changed much but what will change on this site will be the inspiration

behind what I paint. You know an painter by what they paint!

Passion!!!!!!! Just that word conjures up all sorts of thoughts and images. I have been on an artistic

journey for the last four years. I broke my back in 2003 and am very lucky to be walking. In 2004 I

almost lost my son to asthma. In 2005 my husband was in a serious car accident that he is still trying

to deal with. With all this behind me now I finally have come to a spot that I pray most artists will get

to. I was convinced that painting was about what the public would buy. That is both unfair to the collector

and the artist. I now am on a journey to painting what I am passionate about. Some that come to my web-

site might not share the vision and some will relate. I have to use a certain amount of mystery here and

tease you to come back and view what I am painting. It will be from my heart with what is most important

to me. It will represent the artists that most have influenced me through college and my constant search for

artist that have a solitary voice.

I owe a lot to my reawakened passion to my good friend and artist Michele Melina.

She lives in Minnesota and has brought me back to my roots.

I have long admired many masters before me; Edward Redfield, Frederick Mulhaulpt and Willard Metcalf.

When I think of atmosphere I know I have to reach for my library on George Inness and the renowned Indiana Painters.

It will be my greatest joy to have you all share in this passionate new work.
